Uplighting on specimen trees, path and step lighting, wash on architecture and entries, laid out to light the subject rather than the viewer.
Low-voltage installation
Correctly sized transformers, buried runs, brass or copper fixtures and connections that survive Georgia moisture.
Irrigation design & zoning
Zones grouped by sun exposure and plant type, with heads and drip selected for coverage instead of blanket spray.
Controls & documentation
Smart controllers, rain sensors, backflow prevention and an as-built map so future work does not cut a line.

Common questions
Lighting & Irrigation questions we get
- Is low-voltage lighting better than line voltage?
- For landscape use, generally yes. It is safer to work around, easier to adjust as plants grow, and modern LED fixtures produce more than enough output.
- How many irrigation zones do I need?
- Enough that each zone shares exposure, plant type and water demand. Mixing a shaded bed with full-sun lawn on one zone guarantees something is over- or under-watered.
- Do I need a backflow preventer?
- Yes, and it is typically required by code where irrigation connects to a potable supply. We install and test the appropriate device.
- Can lighting be added after landscaping is finished?
- It can, but running sleeves under drives and patios during construction avoids cutting finished surfaces later.
