About
A land group, not a landscape crew
John Franklin Land Group grew out of two decades of work on North Georgia properties — first in landscape, then in the site work, grading and drainage that landscape depends on. Along the way the pattern became obvious: the properties that turned out well were the ones planned as a whole before anything got built.
So we rebuilt the company around that. Today we plan and develop acreage — access, drainage, building pads, barns, fencing, walls and finished landscape — for landowners who want the property to work as well in ten years as it does the week it's finished.
Serving landowners across North Georgia — Dawson, Forsyth, Lumpkin, Cherokee, Pickens, Hall, Gilmer and Fannin counties.
How we work
Read the land first
Before a single number goes on a proposal, we walk the property and follow the water. Topography, soils and drainage decide what's possible; everything else is preference.
One plan, phased over time
You don't have to build it all at once. You do have to build it in the right order. We sequence work so year one never has to be torn out in year four.
Infrastructure before finish
Base, grade and drainage are what make the visible work last. We'd rather spend your budget under the surface than replace what's on top of it.
One team, one accountability
Planning, site work, structures and landscape stay under one roof — so there's nobody to point at when the grade and the patio don't agree.
